Sitewarden

Cookie Policy

Effective from 1 September 2026. This page lists every cookie Sitewarden sets. There are three, and all of them are strictly necessary.

1. Why there is no cookie banner

We do not run advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Under the ePrivacy Directive, cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service the user has requested do not require consent, so there is nothing here to ask you about.

2. Cookies we set

NamePurposeDurationType
sw_sessionKeeps you signed in. Contains a signed token identifying your account and nothing else. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, Secure in production.30 daysStrictly necessary

3. Cookies set at checkout

When you open the checkout, Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record — sets its own cookies to run the payment flow and to detect fraud. Those cookies are controlled by Paddle under its own privacy notice, which is linked from the checkout window. We have no access to them.

4. Local storage

The application stores your light or dark theme preference in the browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us.

5. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking sw_session will sign you out and prevent you from signing back in; everything on the public site will still work.
